4 Hour Elective Course that also satisfies the Realtor Code of Ethics training required between January 1, 2022 and December 31, 2024.
Segment 1: History of the Code of Ethics
- Identify concepts in the Preamble
- Explain the evolution of the Code of Ethics
- Compare why consumers hate Realtors with their operations
Segment 2: Structure of the Code of Ethics
- Demonstrate an understanding of the structure of the Code
- Evaluate differences between the Code of Ethics and North Carolina law and NC Real Estate Commission Rules
- Summarize specific Standards of Practice 1-9 and 3-11 of the Code of Ethics
Segment 3: Enforcement of the Code
- Distinguish the differences between Ombudsman and Mediator
- Explain the process of formal dispute resolution for ethics complaints and arbitration
- Formulate an understanding of the role of the Grievance Committee and their responsibilities in the different applications
Segment 4: Focus on Advertising
- Identify the Articles in the Code of Ethics that apply to advertising
- Differentiate between NAR Code of Ethics Rules and NCREC rules for advertising
- Analyze advertisements to discover unethical or illegal practices
Segment 5: Realtor Marketing
- Employ techniques to maximize marketing that is in compliance with both NAR Code of Ethics standards and the NC Real Estate Commission License Law
- Explain the concept of Search Engine Optimization and how different internet advertising sites are used to elevate agent advertising
- Enhance your Zillow, Homes.com, Realtor.com, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and other advertising profiles
