Samsung kicked off the early show with its “First Look” press event, where the company outlined its vision for technology in 2026. The focus is on artificial intelligence as a unifying theme across displays, appliances and connected devices. One of the standout reveals was a 130-inch Micro RGB TV concept. The massive display combines next-generation color and brightness technologies with on-board AI processing that improves contrast and color in movies and games. Samsung described this as a concept piece that shows what the future of large-format displays could look like, though it is not yet confirmed for retail.

Beyond the concept TV, Samsung is rolling out many new products that use AI in meaningful ways. The company announced upgrades to its Bespoke AI home appliance lineup. These products include a revised AI laundry system with shorter wash-to-dry cycles and improved fabric sensing, a smarter air conditioner with adaptive airflow control, and a new smart robot vacuum with object recognition and improved mobility. These additions aim to make household chores easier and more responsive to individual needs.

LG’s early CES 2026 news also includes innovative display technology and robotics. The company introduced a 9 mm-thin OLED evo W6 “Wallpaper” TV that uses a separate Zero Connect box to send video wirelessly to the ultra-thin panel. Available in large sizes, this model aims to deliver rich visuals with a minimal physical footprint. LG enhanced the design with its latest α11 AI Processor Gen3 to boost picture quality and color accuracy.

Alongside TVs, LG is advancing the idea of a highly automated home with its CLOiD robot. Presented as part of LG’s vision for a low-effort home life, CLOiD is a humanoid device designed to perform common tasks. In early demonstrations, it loaded a washer and brought a bottle of water to a presenter, showcasing its ability to recognize simple human needs and respond with voice and motion. While LG has not confirmed availability or pricing, CLOiD highlights how the company sees robotics integrating into daily routines.

These early announcements from two of the largest CES exhibitors indicate the direction of consumer technology for the year ahead. AI is central to both Samsung’s and LG’s strategies, influencing how people will watch content, manage their homes and interact with machines. More reveals and hands-on reports are expected as CES continues through the week.
